I’ll Show You Mine — The Fleet

and you can show yours.

I am omitting the smaller skiffs, etc.

36′6″ L. Francis Herreshoff ketch DEVA

DEVA(Photo courtesy Alison Langley Photography)

She was conceived by noted yachtsperson Dan Brayton of Marblehead, MA, and built by Brad Storey in 1985.  But you know all about that, don’t you?  She was featured in WB No. 157.   DEVA is the only boat built to L. Francis’ Design 65.

30′ International 210 KATYDID IV, from C. Raymond Hunt and built by Graves

I believe she was built in 1964.  What a fun boat she is.

24′ Whiticar AVELLAR, maybe built in 1964 as well

Pretty as a picture…..

18′ A-Cat, I think designed by Ben Moon and built in 2007-2009

A Cat Flyer

(Sistership shown.)  The only boat in my fleet not built in wood.  It should be a blast.

I can’t remember the build years of these two Classic Moths

First, the Ventnor:

And then the Mint:

Mint Moth

It’s shaping up to be a great boating season.

So, please show us yours?  Old friend John Hanson is, I believe, tough to beat for most overall (non-commercial division), with 27 boats.  But I bet he doesn’t have photos of all of them.

Thanks so much, Carl
