One Response to FLOUKA, From Eric Henseval

Although this design does not do anything for me (a bit small and a bit slabby for my tastes) – nonetheless I like the concept of combining some speed with sail in an open boat. Have been pondering over something similar for a few years as would make sense around the local islands and nearby mainland. Some trips are about getting to the destination quickly, others just pootling around the bay under sail for the day – and some about sailing in the direction the wind works best that day and then being able to zoom back home (or onward) quickly! Was thinking a bit bigger and kinda in style to an Orkney Fastliner (19 foot – 5.7m). Speed around 12 knots and a decent seaboat under power in so so weather, with the main compromise on sailing performance not having to be sparkling on every point of sail………probably stay on my wishlist though!
